Misinformation and renewables are prevalent on the internet. It isn't easy to know what to believe when getting contradicting information from various media outlets. I decided to go straight to the source and interview Mark Zacharias, Executive Director of Clean Energy Canada, to find the real information.
In this clip, we introduce a recent article published by the Fraser Institute, which raises critical questions about renewable energy in Canada. Mark discusses three main arguments surrounding renewable energy: the high costs and reliability issues, the impact of climate policies on the electricity grid, and the implications of power imports by Canadian utilities.
We also explore the misinformation surrounding renewable energy and how outdated narratives continue to shape public perception. With insights into the cultural divide over renewable technologies like EVs and heat pumps, we aim to clarify the current state of renewable energy and its role in our energy future.
