A new vessel was just commissioned by an Alaskan Fishery Company to create the largest long line vessel in the world to fish the Arctic Ocean (an Ocean we know very little about). Perhaps it might be better to invest in some new technology to make fisheries better for the Ocean environment.

Story 3: Oil Platforms Serve As Critical Fish Habitat

In the Gulf of Mexico, oil platforms act as critical fish habitat for fish like the red snapper. However, the government wants to blow up 120 oil platforms which could kill 5,000 fish, not counting the corals and other invertebrates in and around each platform.
